The Plantation Acres Improvement District announces the official results of the June 23, 2026 Special Election. A majority of voters (50.44%) approved the referendum to convert the Plantation Acres Improvement District from an independent special district to a dependent district of the City of Plantation, effective October 1, 2026. Beginning on that date, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Plantation will serve as the governing board of the dependent district. The District appreciates all residents who participated in this important election and will continue to provide updates as the transition process moves forward.
