P.A.I.D. Maintenance Crew Response to Heavy Rainfall – September 16–20, 2026

During the period of September 16 through September 20, 2026, Plantation Acres experienced several consecutive days of heavy rainfall, requiring continued monitoring and response from the Plantation Acres Improvement District (P.A.I.D.) maintenance crew.

Throughout the rain event, our crew remained actively engaged in the field, including after regular working hours and during the weekend, monitoring canal conditions, pump stations, drainage structures, and areas where vegetation and debris could restrict water flow.

As shown in these photos, the crew worked in active rainfall conditions to manually remove accumulated vegetation and debris from drainage structures and trash racks, helping maintain unobstructed water flow through the District’s stormwater system.

During this period, Pump Station No. 2 experienced a mechanical issue, and the District’s portable MWI pump was deployed to provide temporary pumping capacity while repairs were coordinated. The remaining pump stations and canal conditions continued to be monitored as rainfall persisted.

P.A.I.D. sincerely appreciates the dedication of our maintenance crew, who continued working through challenging weather conditions to support the District’s stormwater operations and the Plantation Acres community.
